SWA operation: 13 extremists including 6 foreign militants killed
WANA: Thirteen extremists including 6 foreign militants have been killed in the ongoing operation Rah-e-Nijat in Southern Waziristan, whereas residence of a Taliban leader was demolished.
According to sources, security forces continue shelling on extremists hideouts in Ladha, Makeen and other adjacent areas of Southern Waziristan.
In the recent offensive six foreign militants were killed in the areas of Sararogha, whereas seven local extremists died in Makeen and Ladha.
Security forces ground troops continue to advance to the key bases of extremists in the region, however in some areas security forces are also facing stiff resistance.
Forces have demolished houses of Taliban chief Hakeemullah Mehsud and suicide attacks mastermind Qari Husain in Kotkai area of Southern Waziristan.
On the other hand, some extremists attacked an FC camp in Razmak area of Northern Waziristan with mortar guns, however no casualties have been reported.
Three extremists were killed in the counter action by security forces.
6 foreign militants killed in S Waziristan offensive
WANA: Six foreign militants were killed and a house of Taliban chief demolished during ongoing operation Rah-e-Nijat in South Waziristan. Three militants were also killed in North Waziristan clash.
The sources said security forces continuously pounding militants’ hideouts in Ladha, Makeen and adjoining areas. Six foreign militants were killed in Sarogha during last 24 hours as ground troops advancing towards key positions of militants. In some of the areas, militants offering stiff resistance to the security forces. The houses of militant commander Hakimullah Mahsud and his key lieutenant Qari Hussain were demolished in Kotkai area
